What to Know Before Renting an Inflatable in Chicago
Planning ahead makes your rental day smooth and stress-free. TheJumperStore handles the heavy lifting—delivery, setup, safety briefing, and takedown are all included—but there are a few things on your end that help everything go right. Below you'll find the space, power, and scheduling details our customers ask about most often. Reviewing these ahead of time means fewer surprises and more time enjoying your event with your guests.
Space & Surface Requirements
Inflatables need a flat surface with at least 5 feet of clearance on all sides. Set up on grass, pavement, or indoors. Setup on rooftops, garage roofs, or elevated decks is not permitted. Check product dimensions before booking.
Power Requirements
Every inflatable requires a continuous power source: a standard 120-volt, 20-amp, dedicated electrical circuit within 100 feet of the setup location. If your venue doesn't have accessible outdoor power, TheJumperStore offers a portable generator rental for an additional charge.
Booking Timeline
We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance, especially during peak season (May through September) and around holiday weekends. Same-day rentals are available when inventory permits. Each rental includes up to six hours of use from setup to takedown.
Weather Policy
Inflatables cannot operate in rain or when wind speeds exceed 15 mph. If weather forces a cancellation before delivery, you receive a full refund. If equipment has already been delivered, the deposit becomes credit toward a future booking within 12 months.
Safety & Supervision
Adult supervision is required at all times while inflatables are in use. Our crew reviews ten specific safety rules before leaving, covering capacity limits, footwear removal, food and drink restrictions, and proper play behavior. All inflatables are sanitized before delivery.
What's Included vs. What's Not
Every rental includes delivery, professional setup, a pre-event safety briefing, and takedown at the end of your event. The person who made the reservation must be present at delivery. Concession supplies and Certificate of Insurance available separately on request.
